To Camp Bournedale
(Cooperative Learning Accentuating Science Skills)
The Camp Bournedale C.L.A.S.S. trip consists of a three-day, two night field trip in which all of Plymouth's seventh grade students participate. The trip emphasizes hands-on science and cooperative learning. The trip conforms to the Massachusetts Common Core Of Learning and Curriculum Frameworks. It is an integral part of the seventh grade science and technology curriculum. The trip has been extremely successful since its inception in 1983. The camp provides excellent meals, a registered nurse, and heated cabins with hot showers and electricity. In addition, there are 2 indoor gymnasiums, 2 outdoor basketball courts, 7 lit tennis courts, a ceramics studio, street hockey court, and lighted ball fields. This year, as in the past year, the program will take place in the fall
The dates were chosen using a lottery system by team teachers. The cost for the three day trip is not determined for this year.
